😱Help! I don't know what else to do... Started sounding like a cd was running o something when nothing was in there, now that stopped, but im just getting a white screen with a flashing folder with a ? Its flashing between the finder icon and a ? and will not do anything else. Any suggestions, or has anyone else had this problem??

Turn the computer off by holding the power button for 5 seconds. Then start again while holding the option key. Any change?

get the install disk, boot from it, and see if it can detect your hdd
if it cant, then your hdd is dead, if it can, then i would reinstall osx and use your back up for a restore
