Flashlight app not working

Anyone have a problem with their flashlight app not working? Mine was fine until IOS 8.

I assume you mean the built-in one... Works on 8.0.2.

...except you can't toggle it off from the lock screen by hitting the Camera icon as in past iOS.

You have to swipe up to open the camera and it'll shut it off.

This is turning on the Camera which then needs to then be cut off. Before you just tapped the icon to cut off the flashlight (1 step or 2 if screen off).

Yea, well its still one less click I suppose. I never really used the camera trick method but I suppose its a habit some got into... bummer.

Ok, just learned something. I've been so used to using a flashlight app that I downloaded that I totally forgot about the standard one. Swiping up to use that works fine!

as for the flashlight app not working, same here. glad we have the built in one though
