They're all vicious! No matter what size. I used to keep the tiniest one on my keychain, I had to take it off because I kept getting nasty bruises all over my hands/knuckles and the occassional ouchie on the chin.
You're either not talking about the Solitaire (see grape's pic above) or you have really delicate hands! I've carried one on my keychain for years, since I had to give up my Victorinox knife after 9/11, and it's really no bigger than a AAA battery.

i want a shake light, that's a good idea. i went and looked at my MAG-LITE just to check the hyphenation ;) but hey, we're mac nerds here, lets leave the light-picking (lite-picking? litepicking?) to the flashlight nerds. :p :D

devilot, what are you doing with your keys that you can injure yourself with the attachments? crickey! :p you know you can always put the keys in your hand and leave one poking out between your fingers so that you'll have a metal protrusion from the middle of your clenched fist, right? that might make a safer weapon for you. ;) or you know, pepper spray. spare you some bruising.

The Maglite is probably the Windows XP of flashlights: Popular, but much better options are available that most people don't even know about. ;)

 Noooooooooooo!!!

In that case I need to switch. I've got a red 4 D-cell Maglite...

Sorry to break it to you, but there's probably a flashlight forum member out there busting a gut right now reading about your cute wittle Maglite while turning on his lightsaber-lite.

Why collect flashlights? Wat do they do, shine em at each other??

I have to confess I used to sort of collect them when I was a kid... I say sort of because it was just more of a case of me buying one everytime I saw a new kind.

I think Jamie and His Magic Torch had a profound effect on me as a kid. I was very young though at the time.

Oh and I've never pointed my Mag-Lite beam on the floor to see if it opened up access to another world. Honest! :D

Don't worry.

I think that most people consider Maglite's the Macs of the flashlight world, they're perceived as more expensive and better looking, but still generally do the same job that their cheaper counterparts do. :p ;)

Aaaarrgh.... thank you so much for planting the theme tune in my head  :p

So am i a bad person because I have a Mag that sits in a drawer at home? I rely mostly on my Milwaukee 18V lantern that uses the batteries that work with my circular saw, sawz-all and drill.
