flatout 2 on macbook air

So i bought flat-out 2 from the mac app store and it works great, except about 5 seconds after i start a race, the fans go up to 6000 rpm. Does anyone else have this problem? is Flatout too processor intensive for the macbook air or is this normal?

Surfing the web with with flash does it for me.
