My new Hermès watch just arrived--yay!

Except the band has a flaw--on the part of the wrist that is staring up at me all the time. It's a mild discoloration, but for $300+, it seems like I shouldn't have to stare at a flaw.

Also, the band is too big. The hole that creates the smallest wrist doesn't fit my wrist.

So, options? Does Hermès make another hole? How do I go about doing that?

(I'm talking with Apple about sending a replacement.)

My first time, appreciate any help and input. Thank you.

I agree, at those prices the band should fit properly and not have imperfections. I assume Apple support can get it taken care of
Thank you for giving me this opening. Because Apple did not.

They said I could return it but since there are no more “available” to order online, I have to keep checking back every day to order again.

When I found a band at a nearby Apple Store and asked if I could exchange, they said “no, it comes as a bundle”

Then they said there was a gold watch with starlight sport band, would that be an acceptable exchange?!

So after 45 minutes on Apple Support Chat, their solution was no solution and I should check back daily.

Hermès has, for lack of a better term, sexist sizing. One of the reasons I stepped down to the smaller white size is that the smallest hole on the 46 (44 at the time) were too loose.

The (new) 42mm bands are size for small to medium wrists, and the 46mm bands are for medium to large wrists based on traditional men versus women notions.

Apple Store page states Hermes bands are designed to fit most.
the good thing is returns are easy.
Yes, returns are easy--yay, Apple! However, replacements at this point are literally impossible. Can't reorder this online and Apple Support couldn't help me because they don't know when they'll have more in stock again.

Well, true to form, we can say they don't go beyond the obvious scope...in band holes and in what size watch faces people may want.

Also, I didn't find anything about the sizing until I looked on apple.com separately at bands. Never found anything on the page for ordering the watch with band. Hmmmm.

If it is too large, just add an extra hole. Any leather shop can do that, or like shoe sole replacement etc.
