I've read several articles stating the “Flick Key” keyboard in iOs11 will not work on the Pro 12.9. My wife has a 10.5 iPad Pro and the flick keyboard works fine. Today I was using my iPad Pro 12.9 and somehow I got the Flick keyboard to appear and work. Now I can’t get it to come back. Any thoughts?

I do not believe the 'flick keyboard' is available on the 12.9. I can only assume Apple is thinking that it already has the numbers keys listed across the top.

You can turn on flick keyboard by:
Settings > General > Keyboard > Enable Flick ( right column )

I did “enable flick” in settings and it works on the row of numbers on the onscreen Smart Keyboard. Flick up on the number and the symbol will type in. That may be what I saw but I’m sure it was the flick keyboard I see on my wife’s 10.5 Pro. I was using One Note at the time. I’m still trying to get it to happen again.

That is correct the 12.9 has a 'flick up' not the 10.5 'flick down'. The 12.9 has always had the 'flick down'.

I'm not sure what you are trying to get it to happen again on what. Could you ask your question again?

I think it might appear on non-optimised iPad Pro apps
I tried several apps to see which keyboard pops up. My work app brings up the 10.5 Keyboard, all the others bring up the 12.9 keyboard. I have to agree that perhaps my work app is not optimized for iOS. I find it interesting that The 10.5 keyboard is in the iOs11 but user has no way of opening it. The app determines which keyboard to use. I also use SwiftKey. Used that for many years on my old Android devices. All keyboards work fine, this was more curiosity than anything. The one photo is the keyboard that appears for GMail. The other is my work app. Same IPP 12.9
