iPod touch Flickering Screen

I recently had to have my iPod touch replaced due to a defect in the glass, but now I have another (very small) problem. I don't remember my other one doing this, but when it goes to sleep and I cut it back on for a split second the screen is white with black lines and it flickers before my screen saver shows up. Not long, really just half a second, but it's easy to see. It sort of looks like an analogue TV with no signal.
Perhaps it's nothing, but has anyone seen this?

i have the same issue it flickers almost always .. and now its white

Hmmmmmmmm.... that sucks. Is it really a big deal? You could take it to apple store.
