This is my third full day with the apple watch sport and I've noticed unless I swing my arms when I walk upstairs it doesn't record the number of times I've gone up and down stairs! Slightly disappointing considering I'm constantly carrying things up and down stairs throughout the day or carry my LO up and down... Hence arm not swinging about. Steps recorded seems accurate although I can quite verify that. Apart from that I'm enjoying the stats re my daily activities and workout etc.
Anyone else encountered this issue?

Even if the AW had a Barometer (which it doesn't); you still need to swing your arms so the watch knows you are walking up steps as opposed to using an elevator/lift, or escalator.

Should not be altimeter another barometer.
