Flip Video Camcorder

problem with full screen

Hi

I am a new Macbookpro user and have a problem playing full screen viewing my flip videos.
Any idea if it could be a wrong setting on my Mac? Problem playing full screen is that I get a still picture with only the sound. Playing in regular size everything works fine.

Any suggestions?

Its fine for everyday vlogging. Maybe slower or less dense sporting events like Basketball. Picks up faces well. It lacks optical zoom though...obviously as a portable camcorder so quality will decline. The 60min is fine. Often has me questioning whats worth recording yet at the end of an event, I'll find theres a good 10-15 minutes free. And that 60min is approximate. More or less.

This is the Mino by the way.
 
Children and Flip Video Cam

My son (8) wants a video camera...he has a digital compact still camera which takes video (Samsung: did not realise the compatability probs with Mac and the need to download special software which I now have on my MacBook but not the family MacMini) but wants better.
I am wondering if the Flip Video Camera might be a reasonably economic solution, or if the Red Sony camera (underwater) on the Mac Store would be better (not that I have money for that -- that would be grannie/daddy/me altogether I think).?
Obviously the quality of film is not so much of an issue - but the editing (on OS 10...with iMovie or QT pro (which the MacMini does not have without digging it out of somewhere) is.
If Flip is the way to go.. which model? Ultra HD/MinoHD or basic?

I use the mino HD camera. I shot a very long shot around 40 minutes. I cannot find it anymore in camera nor in the fliv software. However, it says I only have 15min left to record as opposed to the 60mins. So I am assuming the footage is still in the camera somehow. Anyone know if I can recover the footage? How?

Apple has since given the date of January 6th, 2011 as the launch date for the Mac App Store. Last we heard, Apple was still debating whether or not they would also offer a retail box version of their productivity suite or keep it a Mac App Store exclusive.

Hey Vikk, im in a similar issue i think.

I deleted the video files from the computer as opposed to using the monotous controls on the camera. Now my camera says it has 0min left available to record but there is nothing on the camera.

So if I try to play or delete a video it says: "camcorder empty" and if i try to record it says "camcorder full"

im sure there is an internal switch that needs to be reset, but ive not been able to find the firmware.

I was really liking this camera, but the support seems rather lacking.
