No, I don't. I have never noticed a difference over any other standard app.

No background app/music I always turn off background apps after I am done with app to save some juicies

my main problem with flipboard is that the Facebook updates do not reflect what is happening in my true fb newsfeed - does this happen to anyone else?

e.g. my wife might post some pics of my son on holiday and the fb iPad app shows them on the feed and so does the website but flipboard on random occasions will completely ignore it
