Click to expand... We had the X there when we switched over so people could easily disable it, and it was a new feature. It was never that intuitive though since there was no obvious way to turn it back on. That was hidden in the footer. How often are you having to close it?

Huh, not sure if this helps, but if you go to tiny.cc/mrno on your first visit each day, it'll start you off without the feature bar. It's even a whole character less than macrumors.com!
