not a crap shoot at all if it shows avail for pickup...its a real, open, non sold unit at that moment...If oyu are not ready rto buy it (not that reserve stuff) but transact online the whole thing, then it will be gone when you look again. Thie process is not for indecisive people. Also, you must be flexible, I was willing to take any 64/128 ATT unit avail, colors or size open.

snagged mine at 4 am sat morn (6+ 64 space gray) from the ft laud galleria store - picked it up at same store at 9:15 - they actually let me in store early...10 min later, I had the phone.
Sweet! Thanks for the great info :D

Why don't you try?
Oh, I'm waiting for Space Grey.

Tampa still shows inventory of the 6 Plus Silver 64GB Verizon today on apple.com. Is it possible to reserve a phone and pick it up, or is it still a crap shoot even if you see inventory on-line?

You can purchase it online and choose the in store pickup option. This is what I did yesterday at about this time for a 6+ 64G silver in altamonte. I got the email that it was ready for pickup at about 10:30 and got to the Apple Store at about 11. There was one person in front of me in the store pickup line and I waited about 10 minutes. There were a good 100 people waiting in the walkup line.

Coconut Point and Waterside Shops have the 128 GB gold TMo right now. That's all I see as being available for TMo in any size, any color, either 6 or 6+.

Hey guys what is the best carrier in central florida for the iphone 6? Im more concerned about decent lte coverage/speed and signal strength.

Getting my iphone 6 as soon as next month.

I have AT&T and it works very well around here...well, everywhere except in my own neighborhood. I had to get a Microcell for calls at home, but coverage is great everywhere else (including inside Space Mountain).

Another day of watching inventory I guess, I was so close to snagging a Verizon last night, but didn't want to sign a contract just to use it with ATT.

Jacksonville store has Verizon 64GB Silver plus models in stock. Was trying to buy one at full price but online and over the phone won't allow me :( so someone else might as well enjoy it.

Here at Boca. They had over 100 as I was told. They were handed out reservation cards very early.

An employee keeps giving a speech at 10 pm to reserve on apple dot com.

Some people inline said they got 2 reserve cards then went back of the line and got 2 more. They offered me one but it's gold.

Last year, I bought (not reserved) a 64 GB gold AT&T from Wellington Green and picked it up that same day. I used whatever the service was that crawled all Apple inventory (much like the ones they have now) to find the phone and then ordered as fast as possible through Apple. It was easy, once stores actually HAD inventory of the gold, which is what I wanted. I know I didn't end up getting it until early October.

It looks like my pre-order on apple.com had moved to "preparing to ship" so I can't easily cancel it and buy at a store. So if they get one in stock I'll have to wait, although that doesn't seem too likely.

Also, if you're not wanting a cell phone contract I use Cricket and it works awesome. It's basically pre-paid ATT, owned by them and uses the same network. I pay $45 for 3gb at LTE speeds and unlimited everything else, also worth noting that it's $45 including taxes, fees, everything!

I went there this AM when I saw that and I doubt its still there, there were about 25-30 people in front of me just looking to buy 2 of anything to resell, by the time the Apple Employee got to me he said no more 6+ in stock, not sure why it still says they have it online.

Not surprising, I've heard there have been lines at the town center every morning. I live like 5 minutes from the store but I don't want to deal with that nonsense to not even get one.

I had to meet a client on this side of town so I figured I would go a little early and maybe get lucky, now I know better to not even waste my time and just enjoy a cup of coffee at home instead.

Has anyone gone to the Galleria apple store in the morning to try and grab a plus? I'm curious how much earlier the mall doors open before the apple store, or how early I should try and get there.

It's been that way since Saturday. Same resellers in line.

Verizon for sure. You get what you pay for and it works almost anywhere, even outside of Tampa and Orlando. Your iPhone will also be unlocked for resale.

I've had my plus for a day and it's awesome. Well worth the effort and the wait. It is a little weird that my phone takes up so much of my peripheral vison when I'm holding it to my ear though.

ian-frs can you confirm that they did have any 6 pluses for sale this morning during the line?

They had some Sprint, which are probably still there and maybe a handful of Verizon ones, I called the business line to see if they would hold one for me and they confirmed they had Verizon Silver+ 64 over the phone, wouldn't tell me how many or reserve one for me since I was not physically in front of the line.

I'm in Jax too... Feels like nothing from ATT even comes up... DH dropped by the store last evening... Got pretty much nowhere... Was told to line up in the morning... I'd be happy to line up if I knew they had an ATT 6+... I'm not going to not go to work in hopes of something being there... Wondering if I should just order from Apple online...

Since I buy my phones out of contact I am very close to just setting up a Verizon contract and seeing if they let me cancel the order there and just pay full price for it. Or I will just take the contract and pay the ETF after the 14 days are up. I guess the ATT/TMobile phones are so scarce right now because of all the European countries who don't use CDMA.

Probably your best bet at this point, I've been watching their inventory and the only things that come up are Verizon and Sprint. Haven't seen ATT/tmobile since launch. And the store there is a single store serving all of Duval, kind of ridiculous really. Wished Jacksonville would get another 1-2 stores, stick one at River City or something to spread things out.

Agree completely on a new location being needed! I'm just worried that it doesn't appear they are even receiving any ATT pluses...

There are lots of regular 6 in Millenia and Palm beach, every size, every storage, but no one unlocked.
