Here's a helpful and free tool for those of us with macOS devices and chromebooks that can create standalone web apps on macOS for those that we also use on chrome OS.

https://fluidapp.com/

Here's a screenshot of the app icons on the desktop that I created using Fluid:

Here are Google Slides and Google Sheets running in separate app windows:

I have found that it is more enjoyable to use these web apps when they are in separate windows without the browser elements than to use them in a browser tab.

Is anyone else using Fluid?

Me, I even paid the small fee for using it. With it I can continue to access my DVR home system that uses an old plugin pkg that Safari 12 doesn't allow to run (it even doesn't appear on the plugin list).
Just remember from time to time to clear the history to free some disk space or delete and redone the app.

Ditto, paid user of v1 and recently v2 - I use that SSB for some sites that I need to manage multiple user items, Netflix is one. I manage my mom's Netflix's DVD sub in one SSB, my own Netflix DVD sub, and my own Netflix digital sub.

My other SSB is the Chrome-based epichrome, I'm using it for this site and a few others. Given that Chrome needs to be installed first, epichrome SSBs can run with Chrome Extensions independently of Chrome. I install Dark Reader right off the bat. I haven't found any Chrome Extensions that do not run in an epichrome SSB, including content blockers.

Fluid v1 app's not being able to run content blockers led me to try epichrome, I haven't explored that option yet in Fluid v2...
