BTW, nice avatar, LTD..! ;) Does it mean that you'll be using your excellent iPad in the bath tub as well? :D
Hah, I already have the "TrendyDigital Waterproof Case for Apple iPad" and am ready for the hot tub. Got it at Amazon for $25. I made an iPad mockup and weighted it to 1.5 lbs and tried it. If you leave the air inside the bag it will float. Pretty cool I have had a similar waterproof bag for my iPhone that I use when golfing in the rain as well as in the hot tub and on the boat. It works very well and you can use the touchscreen through the plastic.

Is this true? Do capacitive commands pass through the plastic?

p.s.: By the way, am heading for a weekend of détente in Schwarzwald with my fiancée; my sincere wishes of a HAPPY EASTER to you all!

Wow, that pie chart really is a visual demonstration of how awful it is to be locked into Apple's closed ecosystem. Only 89% of new apps are being developed for Apple platforms. Why would anyone want to be a part of that??

From the users perspective, because they like good and useful things.

From the developers perspective, because they like money.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Sounds like you missed the sarcasm in the original post.

Yes it is true. You got an iPhone or Touch? Just put on in a baggie and try it. Viola, works great and I am just assuming the same will be true with the iPad. Have not actually tried it with the iPad buy why wouldn't it be the same. By the way the little foam ended stylus I bought, foolishly, for the iPhone does not work thru the bag.

Bombasticfantastic!

But, let's wait and see how this thing actually works. It hasn't even been released yet. Somehow I doubt it will kill all competition, since they will do cheap and crappy versions in their own way by Christmas.

Can't wait to see the Zunepad! In brown of course!

Yes!I can feel the horror of that eeevil"walled garden"closing in and suffocating me!

NETBOOKS ARE DEAD. MS IS DEAD. GOOGLE IS DEAD. DELL IS DEAD. In fact, ALL Apple competitors are dead in the water by now.

Ahhh reminds me of my 'party hardy days' of ehem ehem....

Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer... Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. We're just the guys to do it.
