FLV Into iMovie?

This probably isn't the right board to post this question in, but its the most relevant I could find.

I have a bunch of FLV. videos which I'm putting on YouTube.

I know FLV. isn't compatible with iMovie, so which is the best free way of converting these into a suitable high quality format?
