Flying with an iMac

Hey,
I am going to travel back to my home town for a few weeks this summer and I kind of need to take my iMac with me. It is a 20" C2D. I still have the original box that I can take it in. Does any one know if that will be too big to use as a carry on for Southwest flights?

I agree. Every airline has its own rules and limitations plus it may depend on the plane as well. I doubt they let you take it as a carry-on, more likely they will ask you to check it in as a special luggage which of course, costs nice extra amount of $

if i couldn't hold it with me i would not take it on a flight. i would be too scared of the monkey's beating it up or stealing it. 🙂

+1 for this. I doubt an iMac would be small enough to be allowed into the cabin. If you must take it, make sure it is insured.
