    Hey,
I am going to travel back to my home town for a few weeks this summer and I kind of need to take my iMac with me. It is a 20" C2D. I still have the original box that I can take it in. Does any one know if that will be too big to use as a carry on for Southwest flights?

    Thanks.

Your best bet would be to check with your airline to get absolute clarification.

I agree. Every airline has its own rules and limitations plus it may depend on the plane as well. I doubt they let you take it as a carry-on, more likely they will ask you to check it in as a special luggage which of course, costs nice extra amount of $

if i couldn't hold it with me i would not take it on a flight. i would be too scared of the monkey's beating it up or stealing it. :)

+1 for this. I doubt an iMac would be small enough to be allowed into the cabin. If you must take it, make sure it is insured.

Tell one of the pilots to keep it in their own closet.
