These are really great wonderful news! Finally Apple is walking the path to the foldable devices and these news (rumors or whatever you want to name them) just prove it! So people, get ready to have a foldable iPhone in your pocket in one or two years from now. Congratulations Apple!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This should be the same device as the rumoured 19" MacBook. Will surely have a starting price of atleast $1999. Waiting to see the first foldable from Apple.

Are there lots of people wanting devices that cost 3x more and break if you look at them funny due to a plastic screen with a giant crease down the middle?

Where did you read that it would cost 3 times more and have a plastic screen? It says in the article they aren’t going to have a crease either.

Because every other foldable is this way. Plus this is Apple, of course it’s going to cost more.

Apple aren’t magicians, every other foldable is plastic why would apples be glass? Plastic = crease

Don't know if it has been discussed above, but I do see ONE use case for a larger foldable iPad display like this. I am a musician and exclusively use the 12.9 iPad for sheet music. I have tried rigging two iPads together to display two pages at once (if you do two pages on one iPad it really is too small to see well with older eyes) and link them together, but they constantly lose connection with each other and is cumbersome to use. Can't let a dropped connection happen in the middle of a performance! I'd love to have one of these since I don't care about the crease if it just separates two pages of music. I bet it will be exorbitantly expensive though. Oh well.
