For something that starts at $1,999, I would hope Apple chooses more original colors.

With Ultra, there is no need to communicate with a color that it is the latest generation. Being foldable already screams "everyone, see, I got the $2000+ new iPhone!"

Maybe there will be a neon-pink edition for the gen2 to ensure everyone knows you are not just having the old gen1 Ultra.

There’s no black for iPhone 17 Pro/Max. Nobody buys black base 17 either. It’s the white that gets sold out.

It’s not a bending iPhone though, it’s a folding device. No part of the hinge bends.

I was already iffy on the idea of a foldable phone ... I really don't want any kind of seam or crease in the middle of my display. I know Apple have apparently come up with a way to make it nearly invisible, but that's still different than a single sheet of uninterrupted glass.

But the supposed lack of FaceID would make this a *really* tough sell for me even without the concerns of a seam.

Never buy Apple 1st gen of a product unless you plan on leaving it unopened in the packaging to sell at a profit as a collector's item

What a take. Why are they a fool? Because they might have the discretionary income to make this purchase? Maybe it’s a work tool for them? You might be a person who spends $8 a day at Starbucks and I might find that foolish but it’s your money. At the end of the day who cares how someone else spends it.
