Is there anyway I can preview the contents of a folder? In windows, if you have a folder full of pictures, it will display one of the pictures in the folder icon. I have a bunch of family pictures with dates and sometimes its helpful to know whats in each.. instead of having to click into the folder, then select some image. Any help is appreciated!

we are all hoping and praying that 10.5 introduces a Finder that isn't so backwards, limited, and inept.

There are programs for OS X you can buy to try and make up for some of Finder's inadequacies.

There's one called PathFinder that people like a lot. It's a "power user" sort of application. I don't think it does what you're looking for, though. Maybe it does. I am not sure, because I installed it a year ago, and forgot about it until after the 3 week trial period was expired. Oops.
