Folder View: Folders on top, Files on bottom?

    In Windows, it always shows the folders first, then the files. Instead of listing EVERYTHING alphabetically (mixed), can I make it so folders are listed alphabetically, then files alphabetically below the folders? Thanks!

    Take a look at XtraFinder, it does what you want.

    Click on the “kind” column header in a Finder window. Requires probably some new Finder preferences, depending on your configuration.

    That will help, but will not guarantee all folders will be listed before any files. The suggestion in post #2 is a good one.
