Folders in the dock on iPad??

For those with IOS 11 installed on an iPad, is it possible to have folder icons in the dock? I am really interested in finally switching over to an iPad for my main mobile computing needs after this IOS 11 announcement but am curious about a few things. I would really like to move all of my app icons into the dock and leave the homepage empty just like Mac OS but without folders in the dock I can see it getting quite large lengthwise (thereby small icons).

I don't have iOS 11 on my tablet... but iOS 10 and previous would do folders on the dock... and iOS 11 does allow folders on my iPhone doc... so no reason to think that it won't work.

Just tested this and it is completely possible. Now thinking of just getting the 10.5 IPP for my mom, instead of the macbook.

Thanks for the confirmation! Yeah the 10.5" with the 120hz refresh rate is very tempting... Now that it has the dock and files app I think it is finally able to function as a decent mobile computer. It would be replacing my 2016 MBP non TB (the worst Mac I have ever owned).

- If an app is in a "dock folder": How is this app started in "split view mode"?
- Are the folder names shown in the dock? ;-)
