When I increases the size of the finder window, close and reopen it reverts back to the small size. Any fix for this? 10.10.2.

been happening here since 10.10.1. not every time, but regularly. a nuisance..!..

Try this simple, but very effective little app, FinderMinder: http://www.irradiatedsoftware.com/labs/.
It will fix the Finder window size problem which is btw an everlasting bug.

everlasting? never had this until 10.10, and expect that at some point, it will be fixed... thanx tho for the finderminder link...

Np. Yes, unfortunately it is. It has been a problem for many for years.
It drove me crazy as well, until one of the members of this Forum posted a link to FinderMinder.

Additional info: Called a month ago Apple support concerning this bug. Had a half an hour talk with the guy. No result, no answers, no solution.

it's been a problem for YOU for many years, not everyone. i never had this issue until 10.10. anyway, finderminder is a good idea...

It would've been wise to elaborate on this issue before jumping to fictitious conclusions.
Finder windows have not worked like intended since OS9.

seriously, i appreciate your effort, but for many people, this has never been an issue. if it's a problem for some people over many years...it's a problem. just not a global issue, but a specific issue...for some people.
You should apply your own logic to yourself.
Just because YOU haven't experienced or noticed the problem until 10.10, doesn't mean it wasn't a problem until then.

this is going on too long. some people have had this issue, at some times, in some versions of the OS. that does not make it universal. it's an issue for those it's an issue for..ie not everyone.
as a mac tech in ny for over a decade, the only place i've seen this happen is...on my mac, in 10.10. so no, not speaking just for myself.
what's the point anyway? some people have this issue, some don't. isn't that a simple statement? anyway, done. 😎
