I got rid of classic but I have a partition that s not really being used for much right now so I can always put it back on..I'd still rather use OSX though...

search for macromedia fontographer
I have never used it nor have I seen it

fontographer is ok..its a bit freeky actually...if you've used illustrator or freehand you should have no trouble in fontographer, but there are some weird interface elements since its so old

but ya i dont think there's anything else...

i checked versiontracker for "fonts" and although there are apps for previewing, managing, printing, repairing, converting, etc. there is nothing that says it makes fonts.

seems like a bit of a hole there that some ambitious young cocoa developer could fill very easily... any takers?

I use Illustrator for designing the fonts, and then Fontgrapher to assign the characters and produce the font......

Fontographer hasn't been updated for awhile, but it does what it needs to do........

It really is simplicity perfected..... however..... designing a decent font is hard as f**k.....:p
