font problem

i have some fonts which I tried to open but they appeared in the preview window in Grey screen and with words"exec" and under is said:Unix Executable File
I know they are fonts for mac
could you please tell me how could I open then and why they are not apearing as normal fonts?

Where did you get the fonts from? This is a commonly-seen problem when they've perhaps moved from PC to Mac or vice versa, or when they've been emailed, where the resource forks get stripped (or so I believe).
