Font size changing in Tahoe

I've recently updated to Tahoe. First thing I've noticed is Font SIZE changing. In all previous versions of Mac OS, if you wanted to change the font size and/or the font itself (while using any type of application), you just clicked 'FONT', then a small table would open with the VERTICAL listing of all fonts names and sizes, and editing tools like Bold, underline...etc. When you wanted to change the size of the font, there was a Vertical SLIDER on the right side, which you move up and down to change the size of the font. In Tahoe, the SLIDER is gone. Or perhaps I don't see how to bring it back. Instead of Slider, there is pre-selected font numbers, something like...1,2,3.5,8,10,12,16... So, before I just move the slider and see the size I like and that's it. In Tahoe changing the font size, slows this down quite considerably. Any idea if its possible to bring the slide back ?

Click the down arrow next to the font size and the slider should appear. Or highlight the size number itself and change it to any size you want.

Yes, Thank you! still the sizes are pre-defined. But that's fine, I can live with that ;-)

You should be able to click in the font size box and type any number you wish... you shouldn't be limited to just the sizes in the drop-down menu (which are there for convenience, not as a limit).

the Fonts window (Cmd+T in most text apps) still has the classic vertical slider — Apple just cleaned up the toolbar dropdown to be preset-first in 26. the underlying picker is unchanged. and in the dropdown itself you can double-click the number and type any size, presets are convenience not a limit.
