exactly. but all i know is that my seagate runs beautifully. iv used them and always gone back to them. i think the hitachi would last just fine. i heard the wd blues and blacks click a lot and have some issues with macs. but i havent used a wd since iv had a pc.

to each his own though. any top drive out there is most likely going to be fine. each has its own quirk that some users may notice and others may not...and all of them have their own small failure rates..
