I am probably one of the oldest members of this forum and I love dark mode. I find it to be easier on these old eyes. Just the other day I discovered dark mode on my Kindle. It's great to be able to read for longer times without the eyes getting tired. I use dark mode on all my devices...

If you don’t mind me asking, are you nearsighted or farsighted?

When I was younger, I was always near-sighted. But several years ago I had Cataract removal surgery and can now go without glasses except for reading. However, I had worn glasses since I was 7 and feel undressed without them. So I still wear glasses all the time. That is helpful if I need to read something.

My eyes really love dark mode. I can read much better

There are some downsides. It can be hard to tell windows apart when the 3D "shadow" is dark gray over underlying black windows. If your monitor crushes blacks a little or a lot, you'll lose a lot of the dark details and UI elements lose their borders. And other similar things

I'm trying Dark Mode everywhere for the first time, and I really like the aesthetics. However, I find that the text can be a bit blurry in some cases, depending on the app. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Do you wear glasses? I do and it has this effect on me. If I move my head backwards / forwards I see it come and go. IOW at the sharpest point, it's fine.
I still prefer dark mode. When I switched, as will all things I try out, I gave it 2 months to see if I liked it. I'm still with it, despite the effects of my eyesight/glasses. NB, turning down brightness reduces the effect.
