I know, I never got insurance as I always relied on Apple care , but I did used to have road side assistance, But I got rid of it after horrible experiences. Switched to AAA and never looked back

Not just NEXT - ATT offers "Mobile share plans", chunks of data you buy that includes unlimited talk and text. In addition you pay an "access fee" for your device every month in order to use the chunk of data that you paid for . If you choose to finance using Next, then that charge is also added. The only saving grace is ATT got rid of the excess charges for going over your data allotment , now once you use the data you have paid for, instead of getting charged a ridiculous fee for an extra gig, they just slow your speed to 2G.
