I'm mad that when I got my 2nd Gen iPod touch, it was a few months after the 4th Gen came out. Target had 2g's on clearence. I begged my grandma to get me a 4g, but she said no because they were $20 more. Now I'm jealous because all of my friends - even my cousin - have 4g's and i feel outdated, because they get to use cameras and Homescreen background and multitasking, and iOS 4.3 . I had to jailbreak mine to get wallpaper and multitasking, but sadly, you can't jailbreak to get camera or 4.3. Those of you who are jealous, tell us here and tell your story of how you got stuck with an obsolete iPod. Those who have 4g's eat an :apple: so we can update our :apple: 's.

One day you'll get a job and buy your old stuff.

P.S. For older people who might not know anything about gadgets, $20 is a lot of difference in price. :D

Truer words were never said in a thread.

- Just because it's old doesn't mean it's bad.
- $20 is a lot of money, especially for older people.
- No one was stopping you from pitching in the rest.
- One day you'll have to pitch in all of it.

haha yeah... guess who can't even drive yet and is going to pay for their new iphone in july? Yeah it was fun scrubbing the tile in my house on my hands and knees, painting trim throughout the whole house, 4 months of yardwork, and another like 2 years of yardwork to pay for the data plan. but it's worth it.

Well the 2G is quite crippled now, which sucks ... that's why I sold mine and got a 4G.

Yeah your grandma seems like a real mean person. What are you? 12 years old?

It is an iPod, for playing music. It is not a fashion statement.

I still have my iPod 1G and it still works just as it did when I bought it.

Sadly it is for some teens....

FYI OP, it still does what the 4G mainly does...run apps, run music, run video, internet..albeit a little less compatible but still functional.

And this is why you should usually try to buy your own things such as this.

I'm 15 and i got a job at a local golf course cleaning golf carts. Right when I heard the iPad was coming out in a couple months, I started saving for an iPad. I got 600 bucks in like 2 months of working. I thunk you can make 20 bucks to try to fit in with all your friends.
