I was able to snag an iPhone X, 256gb silver last night, for delivery to my home on 11/3. I am curious for those of you who've done this before, when do you think it will ship/get a tracking number etc.? It says it will ship by standard shipping, so maybe 4 days or so of shipping, so perhaps it will ship out in a couple days?
Can't wait!

possibly this weekend into Monday/Tuesday. all depends if the iPhones are already stateside (for US). previously they all came straight from the factory in China so i think we got the tracking the week of the release date, mainly monday IIRC. my last pre-order was the iPhone 6 so it's been a while but some reports have shown the iPX in the states.

They could start shipping (and getting tracking) as early as Monday but UPS/FedEx will hold them at local distribution centers to deliver on 11/3. Apple typically gets them "out the door" pretty quickly so they are ready to deliver on release date.

Some people don't get tracking until the day before release but do get delivery on release day.

This has been my experience. If they ship via UPS (which they normally do), you can track your package without the tracking number by doing the "Track by Reference" and using your 10-digit phone number as the reference and your shipping address zip code. I can't remember when this goes live, but I do remember being able to track it from when it left China way before I got my official tracking number

I hope they come from China that would make it new like assembled last week or even this week

Depends where it ships from. If it comes from China then M-W next week. If it's come from a local warehouse could be as late at Thursday.

In the US I've noticed, if the order says "next day shipping", those are already staged in the US and will start shipping a day or so before delivery date. If it says "standard shipping" or something to that effect, it is shipping from China and you will see it ship 4-6 days before delivery date. At least that's how it's typically worked out for me.

Interesting! So might get shipping info as soon as tomorrow!

the fact that people who ordered from apple are getting CC charged makes me think they will ship tonight or tomorrow form China. probably hit fedex/ups location like Wed and then sit in a cage till Friday.

Someone in another thread said she got her “preparing to ship” notice a few hours after she pre-ordered

Mine just went from Order in Progress to Preparing to Ship in the last hour or so...
