I feel the need to add that i wore both my AW4 and my F5 during the Chicago Marathon last Oct and was very surprised. I had the music streaming from the AW to my AirPods and the GPS on on it as well as received some texts and a call on it also. It lasted the whole marathon (6% battery remaining) The thing that surprised me though was the fact that i stopped both at the same time at the finish line. The total mileage on the F5 was 29 and on the AW4 was 27. It is common on marathons to run further than the official course distance as bobbing and weaving add a bit of mileage but I wouldn’t think enough to be over 2 miles off.

I definitely 100% could just get away with the fenix 5 IF I wanted to carry a music source with me on the runs. Having the Apple Watch also keeps me from having to do that. It does kinda stink however using both. Like I said I only wear both on runs but use the aw as my daily.

I really wish Apple would put more work into unifying the health/fitness data from the Apple Watch, and incorporate more data from the HRV readings. It gets a little annoying having to use multiple apps for things.
