Looking over this thread it seriously makes me want to buy some decent kits and build them!

Honestly, I think it's a toy best appreciated by grown ups. Buy a ton, and feel no shame!

On a slightly related noted, seeing this makes me wish I still had my Construx and Robotix kits. I loved those when I was a kid.

Well, it is a wonderful toy, and I'll happily confess that I was still cheerfully playing with mine quite a bit into my teenage years (if privately, and rather quietly)……I was fortunate in that my parents hugely approved of it and were happy to finance the purchasing of lego sets for as long as my brother and I wanted them….

Hee hee being a kid at heart is such fun. Legos aren't really my thing but this is how I still justify playing XBOX after all these years. 😀
