Considering the recent update of the Macbook lineup I would say for the money the Macbook is more Pro than the bottom entry MBP. So with this in mind are we ever really going to see the 13" MBP become a 'pro' machine in line with the 15" bad boys?

the 13-inch MBP will most likely ALWAYS be exactly the same as the regular MacBook but with better aesthetics (including a backlit keyboard) and more ram.

Wow. The 'pro' label is to get people to think it is sooo good because it is 'pro'. Wow... it is a marketing term. MacBook is targeted at regular people. 'pro' is targeted to workplaces. 'air' is targeted to frequent travlers. Take a marketing class and you might understand this better. They are all the same thing... just targeted at different people!

This is nothing new either. Apple has always charged a premium for certain aesthetics. Remember the Black MacBook? Same specs as the white one, but $200 more because of the color. Everyone knew this, and people bought it anyway.

Some people like the added aesthetics and are willing to pay for it. Let them!

Hay guise this says POWERbook on the front is that bettar then macbook PRO??

so which one would b a better choice.... the new 13" MB or the 13" MBP ????
m so confused and will apple b updating the lo-line 13"MBP soon during the wwdc??

OMG!! Shambo, these threads are just sad. you claim to be so happy with your 15" but I have learned that people that put others down all the time really feel awful about themselves. Putting others down makes them feel better somehow.

I think you secretly dream about having a 13" MBP but feel doing so would completely compromise everything you think you stand for. I think those feelings scare you and you take it out on the very one you love......the 13"MBP.
