You do realize that the 12" runs at the exact same resolution as your iMac, So you really aren't losing anything. That's why I'm not worried about the screen size on the 12" I'm gonna buy, it's the same amount of pixels, just a little smaller of a space.

When I looked at the 12" PB in the Apple Store, things seemed a bit squashed up on the screen, even though it was at its maximum resolution - this 15" has got just the right amount of space.

Thats real nice.

Well, Onizuka shouldn't call everybody who ever purchased one stupid. That's just silly. The iBook isn't good enough for me and the 15" is too big. What other option do I have?

I know that I will end up going with a 15" for a few specific reasons.

Right now, I am on a 12" screen (VAIO R505). Its a little bit cramped for me. I also will go with a 15" for the backlit keyboard, the extra video ram and the extra memory expansion capability. I want to do some video editing and some music creation. the 12" screen feels a little too narrow when dealing with timelines. It would be nice to spread out. Really, though, I am just looking forward to the day on which I can say goodbye to Windows.

Having said that, however, the VIAO has been good to me. I can usually get around 2.5-3 hours from the battery doing web surfing and general stuff that doesnt involve accessing the HD too often, or taxing the processor. Its nice and light and has a bit of style to it (though it is incomparable to the style of the PowerBooks)

Good choice. It will beat your expectations.
