I'm currently on a computer at school without iTunes, can you please state the name of the app?

There's a few apps like this. I'd like to know how they compare. I'm trying Pinger Phone right now.

The link above goes to Nimbuzz

    I tried that app.
Don't really like it, it keeps you signed in even when you're not in a Wi-Fi or cellular service area and if you get an IM when you're not it sends it to your phone and I can't reply.
Palringo is a lot better, along with Fring.
Truphone is really nice along with PingerPhone (soon to get phone features for iPod touch).

if you're not in a wi-fi area, how does it keep you signed in? doesn't it just drop out because it can't connect to the internet?

Hasn't this been out for quite a while ? I have it, it's not bad, but I use Palringo the most.

    Work with Skype

No. Also with this app you can configure your Skype account.

    I don't know.
But I've gotten numerous text from when I wasn't in a Wi-Fi area and one time I was on my friends computer and she was signed in on AIM and it said I was on.
