iPhone 12 Pro For those of you using Firefox Focus content blocker integration in Safari

How do you know it’s working? Apparently the Safari integration gives no data feedback.

ALSO, does the application have to be opened in the background in order for the content blocker to work while using Safari?

I don't see any ads on websites so I assume it's working.

The app doesn't need to be kept open in the background.
