Aw man, there I was thinking Apple had put an invisible force field around the white headband.

White things will get dirty, I can't believe someone has not only posted a video on YouTube but also contacted Apple to tell them that their headphones are dirty.

On the other hand, dark colored headbands get stained also, it just shows up different on different colors. So it all depends on what type of stains one gets on them, which color shows the stains best. I would expect Apple to be able to inform us what products to use for cleaning, or us bein pg able to remove the headband for exchange/cleaning.

I really wish the green APM had a dark green/olive/grey headband, not the light one, would be prettier

I ordered the silver ones with the white headband. If you know your hair is oily, you put oil in your hair, or perhaps due to work or leisure activity it gets really dirty, white is a bad choice for a color. It's all about ordering what is right for you.

I own a pair of -All White- BOSE NC700.

I purposefully bought this color because I liked how “clean” and outstanding they looked.

It’s been a year now and not even a single blot of sweating spots, stains &/or grime.

The materials used on the cups and headband have been equal to the task in maintaining appearance.

I use them almost daily even as I do chores at home.

I thought I could bring this perspective to the debate above.

Please do not throw insults should you think otherwise. It’s meant to be a technical conversation around headphone materials capability of withstanding dirt.

Who is throwing insults or are you expecting them to be thrown at you? Of course the smooth white vinyl looking material of the Bose is going to be more dirt and oil resistant than a mesh material.

... and less comfortable.
I've heard that from a few reviews comparing them to the Bose headphones. I thought about the color being a problem before I bought them but I'm not taking mine to work or anyplace dirty. I feel awkward wearing over the ear headphones when I'm out and about. I bought them for relaxing music at home and when they're not on my head they'll be in the leather case I ordered.

Wish the dude mentioned what the usecase was. Was he wearing them around his neck all day? Was he working out with them?

The yellow looks like it’s probably from sweat but I’d really like some context.
