I went back to the first iPhone so I can appreciate the new one more lol. Nah went back to the Note3 till launch time. Looking to get black i6 with the iTime smart watch  ⌚️

I am bringing my original iPhone to AT&T tomorrow so they can activate it. Then my iPhone 5 32GB goes in to get the power button replaced and then it goes on CL and eBay.

Well, mathematically, I spend ~$800 (after tax) for an iPhone each year.

$800/12 = ~$66/month

So, I'd have to make at least $66 more selling it today than I would selling it a month from now when I get my new one to justify the one-month usage rate.

Because I don't see that happening: I sold my iPhone 5 for $450 the day I got my 5S.

Well I sold my 5s 32gb door 630 a few days ago. Wouldn't of near that in a month or so.

That being said it can be a hassle. I managed to snag a lg g3 (love it) for well less than its worth. I'll most likely be able to sale it for a profit, or at at least break even next month.... Or however long until the 5.5 inch iPhone comes out.

Whoever bought that was an idiot. $630 for a 32gb 5S? That's insanity.

Just sold my 5S for $550. So I say I did better.

Sold my gold 32gb 5s on eBay last week. Using my wife's 16gb silver 5s while I wait for the iPhone 6. She decided to try the galaxy S5 and she loves it. I'll be selling this iPhone when I get the i6. We on AT&T BTW.

Do most people here keep a "beater" phone to use in either emergencies or when they sell their newer phone?

Still got my Samsung GS2 as an emergency but prey I never have to use it due to the media scanner bug in the firmware that they failed to ever fix!!

My 5c will be a perfect backup for my next upgrade and would have no hesitation to use it if needed!

I've got a bunch of backup phones (not necessarily beater) but that's mostly because tech is my hobby. That said, they're good to have for emergencies and international travel. Mind, I never sell my phones unless I already have a replacement.

I already have my 5S for sale on eBay.

No chance I would risk selling my phone on eBay since it's much too easy to be scammed.

I'd rather do a transaction in person for cash via Craigslist as long as its at a public place.
