Just to update your guys on my iMac. I have a 3.06 Ghz with 4 GB 1 TB HardDrive and the ATI 4850 Video chip. It did lock up 1 time on the first day when I played a few songs in iTunes on the 3rd song. However the next day I played iTunes for 90 min with the visualizer full screen and no lockups. So since 4 days later has passed, it has not locked up at all. My iMac is constantly on, at least 18 hours in a day. And no more lock ups. Was the first day a fluke? Who really knows. All I know is I am happy with this iMac. It is super large, Fast, and just plain awesome!!!

Well my wifi is on as I am using Apple TV and a printer that are both ran wirelessly. If I turn off the wireless then the other mac in the house will not have access to the printer. I am seriously considering calling Apple and tell them that I want a replacement. This is too much money not to work flawlessly!

For each person that does not call to request a replacement, it will take that much longer for :apple: to acknowledge the problem. We need to make them lose profit on this model. I know this sounds evil, but what they're doing to us is pure evil! D;

Ordered April 22nd, yesterday it went from Not Shipped to Order Prepared for Shipment, so I am hoping it goes out today. Says delivery is April 28th-30th. Since they gave me free overnight shipping, if it ships today I should have it tomorrow, which is also my birthday.

Woo!

Three Weeks

I put a deposit on a built-to-order 3.0 GHz, 4GB, 1TB iMac last Monday and was told three weeks.

I'd have to wait three weeks for a configured iMac. All I asked for was the slightly faster video card, Apple remote, wireless keyboard and mouse.

I went on the Apple site and did a dummy so-called "built to order" configuration identical to that which I ordered through a department store. The Apple Store ETA was three days.

I had other motivation to see the department store purchase through. Store credits and price matching with a ten percent saving on the overall price.

According to email my iMac is shipping from Newark, CA and should be arriving on May 14th.

Is Newark, CA normal or should I be concerned?
