My absolute favorite is keyboard shortcuts. I can type way faster using "teen text lingo" and I have the shortcuts set up to change the "lingo" to normal easy to read and understand sentences!

What do you mean you don't have to use the home button anymore on iOS 5? Can you tell me how that works? How do you go back to home screen if you have a full screen app open?

you take your 5 fingers spread out on screen then slide them all to center...that closes the app to home screen.

if you have multiple apps open take 4 fingers and swipe from right to left and you will be able to open another app you may have in the background without having to go back to home screen.

Use this same swipe feature from bottom to top to see all your apps that are still running in background.

Are we certain the iPad 1 doesn't have the multitasking gestures? I know in the betas it didn't. However, since the GM came out I haven't heard anyone mention it.

I was curious about this since Apple's site says "iOS 5 includes a few new moves and shortcuts to help you get around even quicker on your iPad". Other features which are iPad 2 specific (like AirPlay mirroring) they very specifically say are for iPad 2 only, so I find it odd that they didn't state that the gesture are iPad 2 only if they were.

With the new tabbed browsing, is there the an "Open in Tabs" capability (open up a bunch of URLs in tabs) in Safari now?

And are you still limited to only the 9 open windows?

Yes, you can select open in new tab. The tabs are pretty big until you open several... Freaked me out at first.
