Force app to display retina

Is there any universal way to force an app to display in retina mode?

If not, does anyone know how to make any specific app (namely, SAT QOTD) to use retina resolution then I could just redraw all images/stuffs in retina myself?

Unless you're the developer on the app, no. If you plan on using the app quite a bit, you can always try getting in touch with the developers.

I'm sure of seeing an app which did just this on Cydia the other week, I'll do some digging.
