force click no longer working on 2015 rMBP

Soooo, the trackpad on my 2015 retina MBP running latest mojave no longer registers presses for Force clicks and only works with tap to click now which is super annoying because its not as intuitive and now i cant drag and highlight things either. I have obviously tried a restart. what else can i trouble shoot or try before i reformat and send out for warranty repair?

Double check your trackpad settings. Force click may have gotten uncheck somehow. And you might try uncheck it exiting preference, verify it is off, and then go back in and check it.

Pease advise of the outcome. We 2015 owners (We few, we happy few, we band of brothers) don't like to hear that one of us is suffering such affliction.
 
good to know, my warranty about to expire in a month so time to start paying attention to stuffs like this 😀
