I'm looking to force my Verizon iPhone into roaming onto US Cellular as it switches between 5 bars of US cellular 2G and 0 bars of Verizon 3G which doesn't really work. I just need the cell signal strong for phone calls and texts and I can use wifi for data. I'm on vacation in wisconsin and the switching is not only killing my battery but phone calls are impossible to make at the moment and texts barely scoot back and forth. Yes o updated my PRL settings twice and turned data roaming on and off. Suggestions?

I dont think you can force it to stay roaming.
First default would be to stay on VZ network even if its 1 bar and then on partner network.

Dang....the whole switching from "Extended" to Verizon is killing my battery...10 minutes in standby with nothing running unplugged drops my battery from 100% to 92%....it's insane :/

Yes, I would like to know if there is a way to do this as well. Or if there is a way to do it via a JB or unlock. Has to be a setting with Apn or something, right? Where we travel has spotty Verizon and spotty AT&T - but good US Cellular.

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s with Sprint and had to return it because i didn't want to give up this option that i have in my HTC EVO
