So I've discovered that when a app freezes on a 3G S, the only way to force quit it is to hold the sleep/wake button down until the red power-off slider appears and then release the sleep/wake and only hold down the home button. Otherwise, it will just open the voice command app.

Is there any other way?

I've never had anything freeze on any of my iPhones.

I'm just curious - what applications are freezing for you, and is this happening regularly?

I don't think I've ever had any apps freeze, but I know there have been times when mail isn't updating properly (or marking messages I've read as read). Force quitting mail usually fixes it. That was on my first gen iPhone, hasn't happened yet on my 3G S.

I've actually had my apps run more stable since OS 3.0. I also noticed my speaker is louder (I know that has nothing to do with stability...lol)
