Sometimes my iCloud email doesn't seem to sync properly. So if I mark as read and then move some email to a folder in the iCloud.com webapp, the changes don't sync over properly to mobile, and the 'unread' email are still there.

Is there any way to force a total re-sync of a particular mailbox in the built-in iOS Mail.app?

I have this issue but only seems to be affected by yahoo emails. I'll mark them as read and then about a couple minutes later when a new email comes in they'll go unread again. I have to look at all the emails for them to register as read which is kind of annoying. Noticed this when iOS 9 came out. Not sure what or if there is a fix for it.

I had the same issue since macOS Sierra and iOS 10. However, since updating to iOS 10.0.3 today this issue has been resolved. My iCloud mails sync properly again between devices. Maybe it works for you too with the update.
