I have a Note 2 and it's huge, even the font and icons.. Kind of like font and icons on my Mac mini, 24" 16:10 monitor but the menu bar at the top is pretty large for my liking. I Rooted my Note 2 and installed a custom ROM which allowed me to put my phone into "Phablet Mode" which doesn't change the resolution, just adjust the size of everything so all of the menus are smaller with smaller font for more screen realestate to make the phone look more like a tablet(phone+tablet=phablet). Is there any way to do this on the Mac? I found some very sketchy ways of forcing a higher resolution however this is not what I want, I just simple want to scale the menu bar and possible the system font just a bit smaller, maybe about 10% less so it's still readable, but it will give just a bit more screen space to enjoy my wallpapers that much more at idle.
Is there anything like this for OS X 10.8? I found some guides for 10.5 and 10.6 by changing some plist files which I'm trying to stay away from but I can't find anything about doing this in 10.7 or 10.8 so I'm at a loss really.
Any type of Menu Bar Scaling tutorials or programs would be fantastic.
Thanks
