It's been a few months now - is force touch something useful or useless?

It doesn't feel any different to non force touch trackpads when you get used to it, Apple did well with this one.

The only time it's being used is when I right click, for most things I just tap to click and use whatever gestures OS X I need to use.

I just got the 2015 MacBook Pro 15" and I love the trackpad. While in Safari just click, forcefully, on any word and you get the definition and thesaurus info. Click on a name and you get a bio and video links. Click on any link and you get a preview of that link. Click on any file on your computer and you get a preview. It's awesome. I'm just waiting for Firefox to support it

Depends on who you ask. I think on the trackpad it seems to fall into the gee whiz category and some people will either ignore or disable.

I think on the watch, its a very good feature, not so much on the computer.

To me, its just something else to break after pressing down on your screen or pad over and over again. specially the iPhone 6s. I don't use mine at all. Apple should have just given us a better battery

I have the new retina macbook 12" that has the force touch trackpad and its SUX big-time. It is thew worst TP I have ever used. It's imprecise and the BIG feature is pretty useless, and is just a gimmick.

Tried it on both the phone and the watch and its pretty pointless...
I don't see any real value add from it.
