Does anybody know when the force touch trackpad might come to the MacBook Air?

I'm thinking of buying a MacBook Air. I don't like the new force touch trackpad. I know I'm being a dinosaur here, but they feel weird.

How long do I have to buy a MacBook Air before the old school diving board trackpad goes away?

I doubt it will ever make it to the MBA since it didn't for the 2015 refresh and every other Apple laptop got it.
 
Heh, maybe I have nothing to worry about! Apple refreshes their hardware once a year, right? Will the next refresh come in March?
 
That's exactly the information I was looking for! I'll keep an eye on those timers.
