Any news regarding this?. Still getting mismatches specially when it comes to differents remasters and such. Only way I have found to force Itunes to upload the song is to add one minute of silence in audacity (less isn´t enough), at the beginning of the affected songs and then reimport them to Itunes and adjust the playback to start at 1:00, but this isn´t practical.

This is killing my use of Icloud Music Library, particularly when it comes to expanded and remastered soundtracks, which are matched to the old master present in the Itunes Store. Have reported the issue to Apple for years, but to no avail.

Thank very much in advance.

I think Apple has zero interest in iTunes Match.
Once it was up they didn‘t care anymore...

But they obviously have interest in Apple Music, which also has this feature...

Well, as it turns out, there IS a way to force an upload to Apple Music/Icloud Music Library, at least on Mac OS Catalina. Take your wrongly mismatched CD or lossless audio files, and convert them to 96/24 files in AIFF format. Then, import them to the music app. They will be uploaded instead of matched.

The question is: Does upsampling 16/44 audio to 96/24 deteriorates audio quality?
