Has anybody experienced forced restarts or log outs on Mavericks? I got it on my iMac 2012 21.5 in base model and sometimes when I am using the system for a while, the OS suddenly freezes and restarts itself, or it logs out of my account then returns to the log in screen.

I too am having that same thing happen. When I log back in it reopens most of my applications. This is quite unacceptable. Anyone else having this occur? Any fixes? I have MacBook Pro 2011 13" with 8GB of RAM.

Yes. The WindowServer process is crashing on me with some frequency. Every time it has happened I was pressing send on on email. However, in the crash report I don't see a reference to the mail.app being the cause.

Check your Console to see if it is the same.

ie:

Process: WindowServer [126]
Path: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreGraphics.framework/Versions/A/Resources/WindowServer
Identifier: WindowServer
Version: 599.7
Code Type: X86-64 (Native)
